Yvonne Rogers, owner of Roger Souvenir & Craft, decided to continue her mom's legacy after she passed away. Yvonne started skilled training in the arts and crafts field while in school as a teenager. Years after leaving school she decided to continue practicing her craft on a part time basis. In 1997 she attended a training center in Barbados, where she learnt mostly basket making from rattan and also jewelry making. On returning to Nevis she also started making coconut shells, sea-shells and other creative fashionable crafts (cloth bags etc.). During 1990 – 2007 she taught craft at both Primary and High School in Nevis. From 2010 to present, she operates her own shop on the island of Nevis.
